Titled “Creating Prosperity through Innovation: ICT at Work in Development”, this Forum brought together 178 participants from 36 countries across the globe to exchange knowledge in a combination of plenary and parallel sessions with an omnipresent focus on ‘innovation’. Youth Social Enterprise Initiative (YSEI) Fellows participated in workshops and discussions on catalyzing young social entrepreneurs.
The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) was held in two phases, with participation of 175 countries. The first phase took place in Geneva hosted by the Government of Switzerland from 10 to 12 December 2003, and the second phase took place in Tunis hosted by the Government of Tunisia, from 16 to 18 November 2005. International Youth Parliament – Sydney, July 2004. The fundamental purpose of OIYP is to bring about sustainable change in people’s lives. All Action Partners (2004-2006) were selected because they are already active in their communities. All Action Partners spent eight days in Sydney in July 2004, creating action plans representing youth led interventions aiming to bring about change at a range of levels throughout the world. ASEAN Youth Leaders Forum – Singapore, February 2003 For the first time in the history of both youth organisations, the People’s Association Youth Movement (PAYM) and the Shanghai Youth Federation (SYF) collaborated to organize an entrepreneurship forum for youth leaders in Asia. Attended by 122 participants from 11 countries the forum created a platform for the youths to exchange ideas on entrepreneurship as well as to network. Homepage
2nd World Youth Congress – Morocco 2003 Was selected to attend and was only given a partial sponsorship. Raising full funds took too long, thus was unable to secure a flight seat, and thus unable to attend.
WORLD YOUTH JAM – San Francisco, 2002 YOUTH JAMS are transformative week-long events that connect and support 30 of the world’s leading young social entrepreneurs working for a thriving, just and sustainable way of life for all.
