Social Entrepreneurship For Socially Active Youth Citizens

SOLS 24/7 conducts another pilot project, a 2-year intensive ‘Science of Life’ training program in Malaysia. Possibly, the first of it’s kind in Southeast Asia to blend philosophies of sustainable and equitable social change with profit-making systems. This program hopes to create “compassionate souls and realistic visionaries” out of young men and women as Future Social Entrepreneurs of the developed and developing nations.

Training in ‘Science of Life’ and ‘Science of Economy’ will hone dynamic and bold youth leaders who will use innovation, creativity and revenue production mechanisms in their relentless pursuit to meet the development needs of communities. Social entrepreneurs stand apart from their conventional counterparts as their financial independence maximize opportunities to create systems of positive change. Empowerment and progress of communities and citizens, throughout the world becomes a true reality.

Within 2 years, individuals will develop capacity-building leadership skills of macro thinking, discipline, focus, team co-operation and dynamism. They will be trained in entrepreneurship skills such as project planning, finance, management, and marketing. Global partnerships will be established and they will run development projects and initiate and manage socially valuable start-ups. 6 months will be spent on the fields to derive practical experience in development work.

Aspiring social entrepreneurs from Japan and Singapore are currently undergoing intensive training. Creating long-term sustainable change, developing equitable societies and leading income-generating social enterprises are merely some of their goals to effect positive change in societies. The possibilities of making an impact in the lives of others are endless for them and as they say, the sky is the only limit!
