History

SOLS 24/7 Timor Leste was established in November 2006 by T. Raj Ridvan Singh (International Director) together with 3 of SOLS 24/7′s Cambodian volunteers. We started with 24 poor students who were from different districts. Due to need of education and the effectiveness of our programs, we were able to expand our activities to all 13 districts throughout the country. Currently, we are operating 13 centers in Timor Leste.

50 outstanding Timorese volunteers have gone for their International Exchange Program to Cambodia & Malaysia. 23 are still undergoing their exchange program in Cambodia. 9 people out of 27 who have finished their exchange program decided to continue volunteerism in SOLS 24/7 while the others went out and started their lives with an improved standard of living.

Our next challenge is to open more centers in the sub-districts in order to provide more opportunities and education to Timorese youth.
