Finance & Administration internships give participants the chance to apply what they’ve learnt in theory, in a real life situation. This practice accompanied with careful supervision will give them vital experience and insight into the world of accounting.

Some of the responsibilities of interns include preparing reports, data collection, recording, preparing budgets, filing and monitoring accounts. They will learn how to be cost effective, how to budget effectively and how to manage money accurately. They will support the finance department in exploring new ways to reduce costs. They will also be expected to share in general office and administrative tasks.

The intern will be playing a crucial role in the support of the INGO. Funding in SOLS 24/7 is limited, so the funds that are available need to be used cost effectively to stretch them out as far as possible. Every cent that is saved in the finance department will benefit a student somewhere in the long run.
