CHANNEL NewsAsia has recognised Mr. Madenjit Singh, founder of SOLS 24/7, as one of Channel NewsAsia’s Asians of the Year for his work in setting up training centers and providing free education to underprivileged rural and urban youth in South East Asia.

 

AYA Award – Most Outstanding Youth of 2008

Received by: Counselor Dhinu Singh for his work and service in SOLS 24/7.

This award seeks to give recognition and to reward young individuals who have overcome and may still be overcoming obstacles in their lives to be where they are today. The award recognizes their spirit of perseverance in their efforts to better themselves as well as their community and nation.

Blue Chilli Award 2008 

Received by: Teacher Raj Ridvan Singh.

This award seeks to acknowledge outstanding individuals who are giving back to the community tirelessly in order to make Malaysian society better.

The Collaborative Awards provides international recognition to successful   and innovative ICT4D initiatives  from around the world while spurring the champions of the initiatives to   continue to strive for excellence on the ground in using ICT to address community needs in a locally relevant way.

Asian Youth Leaders Forum 2003

The Asian Youth Leaders Forum is an international youth event which brings together young people from across Asia for academic seminars, intercultural workshops, social events and interpersonal exchanges. Its aim is to promote international understanding, intercultural communication and leadership skills.

Cambodian Red Cross Plaque of Appreciation to the Leadership-Character Development Institute (known as GDI Cambodia) in 2005, Cambodian Red Cross Certificate, and Cambodia Red Cross 2004.

The Cambodian Red Cross recognizes the efforts of SOLS 24/7 in its contribution to saving the lives of the people of Cambodia by being the largest donors to the national blood banks.

 

 

 

 

Amabassador for Peace- Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace 2001

2001 was declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Volunteers. The Ambassador for Peace recognizes Mr. Madenjit Singh for exemplifying the ideal of living for the sake of others. Transcending racial, national and religious barriers, the Ambassadors for Peace contribute to the fulfillment of the hope for all ages, a unified world of peace wherein the spiritual and material dimensions of life are harmonized.
