What is Solar Academy
Solar Academy is a learning centre that provides free education on technical skills and theoretical knowledge in the solar industry for young underprivileged Malaysians.
Youth unemployment rates in rural Malaysia are high and poverty in urban areas is very significant.
One million Malaysians still don’t have access to electricity. At the same time, there is a big demand for renewable energy production in Malaysia but a lack of expertise in this field in the country.
Solar Academy gives tools to young Malaysians to pursue a better future, saving the planet and promoting renewable energy.
With our comprehensive programme we want to make sure that our students get a solid foundation at the end of their studies to grow professionally and pursue meaningful careers in the renewable energy industry, or industries of their choice.
The areas of study in the Solar Academy are focused on technical skills related to solar energy as well as on the personal development of the students abilities and communication capabilities. English learning and computer literacy are also essential for our educational project.
Practice is the best way to prepare the students for the job market in renewable energies. Thanks to the partnership with companies and the equipment in the facilities of the Solar Academy we can provide a complete learning experience.
