About SOLS computers

SOLS Computers is a Non-Profit Computer Refurbishment Centre which is established to refurbish donated PCs and provide them to disadvantaged communities for free. We are established to serve.

It is shocking that even in this Internet era, there are still millions of people deprived from computer access. We strongly believe that computers and Internet are great technologies which everybody should have access to. Computer literacy is one of the main requirements of companies, corporations, and academic institutions and without access to computer technology people will be unable to cope with the demands of nowadays society.

Our objective is to distribute free computers to disadvantaged communities nationwide and later throughout the whole of South-east Asia. We aim to reach out to the most secluded communities.

Corporations, Companies, Government Agencies and Individuals can donate their old computers to us while they are upgrading their computers. SOLS Computers will refurbish, preinstall genuine Microsoft software and distribute the computers to Orphanages, Old folks homes, poor NGOs, and Community Projects for free.

SOLS Computers is an official Microsoft Registered Refurbisher. We provide genuine Microsoft software (Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2007) on our refurbished computers. All donated computers go through a strict and secure refurbishment process which ensures the donor’s privacy and the quality of our refurbished PCs.

Mission

Our mission is to wipe out computer illiteracy and to provide a Complete Computer Solution to disadvantaged communities in the most remote areas in Malaysia.

Facts

What makes us unique?

SOLS Computers is not an usual computer refurbishment centre. What distinguishes us, is:

• Established to serve: our primary goal is to serve. We are not a profit entity. We target charitable organizations, like Orphanages, Old folks Homes, poor NGOs, and Community Projects in rural Malaysia.
• Free of charge: we provide 90 – 95% of the refurbished computers for free of charge. We sell 5 to 10% of the computers for a very special price to cover our operation costs.
• Complete Computer Solution: we provide a Complete Computer Solution, which includes Hardware, Software, Study Materials & Training.
• Microsoft Registered Refurbisher: we preinstall all our refurbished computers with genuine Microsoft software (Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2007). Our refurbishment process follows Microsoft standards to ensure the donor’s privacy and the quality of the refurbished computers.
