Ayu hails from Kampung Chengkelik, Kelantan. In 2014, she joined SOLS 24/7’s education programmes as a student. In the span of few years, Ayu was able to grow personally and professionally under the guidance of SOLS 24/7. This journey gave Ayu the confidence to rekindle her passion for teaching that started since she was young. Confident and courageous that she can make a positive difference around her, Ayu became an Assistant Teacher at SOLS 24/7’s Community Centre.
After making a significant impact in her role, Ayu became a full-time teacher at SOLS Academy of Innovation, a training and boarding programme for youths from B40 communities. She extensively taught English, Digital Skills and Character Building skills. She was also heavily involved in assisting and preparing the youths as they entered the job market to find jobs. In 2020, she became Kampung Chengkelik Community Centre’s Center Manager. Her notable work includes successfully running an event within her community, known as the ‘Vegetable Garden Project’. Apart from this, she also taught for the Prince’s Trust International (UK)’s Achieve Programme. Currently, she is delivering online English classes on SOLS 24/7’s Online Learning Platform.
Ayu aspires to make education accessible to everyone, especially the underserved communities in Malaysia.
