Sila Serin – Testimonial

An internship of six months that went beyond all expectations… I honestly didn’t expect that I would enjoy it this much. This also explains why I extended my stay from four to six months! It’s amazing how much I’ve learned the past six months and all thanks to my amazing team. When I joined the communications team, I was somewhat aware of my strengths and weaknesses, but never had the chance to practice my skills and improve them. With very diverse tasks, I learned about media monitoring, became much better at writing and got to plan and organize the coolest events, just to name a few things.

With a director whose vision I support fully, a manager who gave me her full trust in taking responsibility for big tasks and not to mention awesome team members whom I’ve been working so closely with, obviously it couldn’t go wrong.

Amongst various motivational factors, I see a great passion in the eyes of the people working here. Although I was nervous at first, I immediately felt like a part of the SOLS Malaysia family. I could not have asked for more of an internship. I’ve met amazing, hard working and inspiring people whom I will definitely meet again one day! Just as the beauty of Malaysia, the work environment in SOLS is very diverse. This is what I loved about being here. We all come from such different backgrounds, have different ways of doing things, yet we see our differences as strengths and learn from each other. One thing i find very interesting is that a lot of people, who leave SOLS, tend to come back at some point. The feeling of attachment is on a whole other level. I wish the best for the future of SOLS and the people making it all happen, and would like to thank everyone who contributed to making my stay here unforgettable. SOLS, and of course Malaysia, will always have a big place in my heart.
