Ministry of Finance
SOLS 24/7 Malaysia works with the Malaysian Ministry of Finance in implementing the nationwide English proficiency initiative Bahasa Inggeris 1Malaysia (BI1M) for the year 2016 and 2017!
The Ministry of Finance has recognized that improving the Malaysian people’s English proficiency is a critical element of national development. Through the auspices of the National Blue Ocean Strategy, the government is pushing the English agenda through SOLS 24/7 Malaysia and BI1M.
The National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) is a strategic plan initiated by the Malaysian government to deliver high impact, low cost and rapidly executed programmes and services to the public.
In line with the Eleventh Malaysia Plan, over 80 ministries, agencies and government-aligned organisations are collaborating to formulate and execute NBOS to transform the country.
A key tenet of the Blue Ocean Strategy is to put aside competition (the Red Ocean), and embrace collaboration, knowledge sharing and mentorship. Under the auspices of NBOS, the Ministry of Finance has reached out to SOLS 24/7 to collaborate on implementing Bahasa Inggeris 1Malaysia (BI1M)! A programme meant to tackle the level of English proficiency in Malaysia.
The National Strategy Unit (NSU) is a department of the Ministry of Finance tasked with carrying out the tenets of the National Blue Ocean Strategy, an initiative by the Malaysian government to collaborate with ministries and agencies to implement high impact, low cost, rapidly executed programmes and services for the public.
SOLS 24/7 Malaysia works very closely with NSU to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the successes of the Bahasa Inggeris 1Malaysia (BI1M) programme! A free English education class targeted at all Malaysians of all ages.
Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs) and Rural Transformation Centres (RTCs)
The Urban and Rural Transformation Centres (UTCs & RTCs) is an initiative under the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) aimed at widening government amenities and service provision throughout the country. As a hub for public services, it naturally became the focal point for the Bahasa Inggeris 1Malaysia programme, that aims to deliver free English education to all Malaysians of all ages. Thanks to the various management teams of the UTCs and RTCs, we have been able to make BI1M a success for two years in a row!
Better Malaysia Foundation
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan’s personal foundation, the Better Malaysia Foundation (BMF) works with SOLS 24/7 Malaysia to set up community education centres throughout the country, offering free education and social empowerment programs, with an emphasis on the English language to underprivileged communities.
One of Tan Sri Vincent’s bigger projects in education is to help improve the standard of English in Malaysia, recognising that English is important in communications and the business world.
Tan Sri Vincent also supports various community and charitable causes which include educational programmes, medical and health causes and humanitarian aid.
SOLS 24/7 Founder Dr. Madenjit Singh was also the inaugural winner of the BMF Person of the Year award.
Hong Leong Foundation
The Hong Leong Foundation ‘Rise up and ROAR’ education development program is a collaboration between the Hong Leong Foundation and SOLS 24/7 Malaysia, tailored to suit to the needs of students with a minimum SPM score of 3As.
This scholarship management program aims to help these students and their families break the cycle of poverty. The goal is for them to earn a degree while becoming outstanding, skilful and socially-conscious members of society.
The Hong Leong Foundation is a corporate foundation and the charity arm of Hong Leong Group Malaysia. The Foundation‘s primary concern is that of addressing poverty in Malaysia through education and community welfare. The Hong Leong Foundation is also the founding supporter of SOLS Tech‘s computer refurbishment initiative, Tech Cycle.
7-Eleven Malaysia, through its Community Care program is the founding partner and major supporter of NGOHub, the first all-in-one online platform to promote, connect and aid non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across Malaysia. Being the premier neighborhood convenience
store, community building is at the heart of 7-Eleven’s corporate social responsibility framework. Our activities involve giving back to the society we operate in by supporting underprivileged groups and sustaining environmental conservation efforts at the local community level across all regions. Working with NGOHub has helped us realize some of our goals by allowing us to have a hand in helping everyday
The first all-in-one online platform to promote, connect and aid non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across Malaysia. It is the new-age solution to address key problems and various challenges faced by the everyday hero local NGOs in terms of getting publicity, volunteers as well as material aid.
The website, which is a concept by SOLS 24/7 Malaysia, harnesses the power of online technology and digital ubiquity to connect NGOs with local philanthropic individuals and organisations.
7-Eleven’s Community Care initiative believes in giving back to the society they operate in, with a commitment to support the underprivileged and to sustain environment conservation effort at the local community level across all regions.
It has been gratifying to watch the longstanding partnership we have with SOLS 24/7 Malaysia growing from strength to strength each year. After provisioning them with a five-floor corner lot building, lease free, in which to operate their Youth Development Centre, we have watched it grow into a centre which equips youth with life-changing skills to better themselves and their communities. We are pleased to say that our Philanthropic efforts have not been in vain. LCP Group through SOLS 24/7 has helped hundreds of Malaysian students board, study and train in our building for free. Together, we are taking further steps to improve the lives of underprivileged communities through education and social empowerment.
Hundreds of students have been able to find refuge in a positive and welcoming environment, alongside dedicated teachers and volunteers. The building, which can accommodate up to 100 boarding students, has enabled SOLS 24/7 Malaysia to offer year round free education and boarding facilities.
An advocate of empowering youth with employability as a platform to build a better future, the American financial services company, J.P. Morgan is the main partner for the Solar Academy. Our learning centre provides full-time boarding facilities and free education on technical skills and theoretical knowledge in the solar industry for young underprivileged Malaysians.
J.P. Morgan shares our mission of increasing employability and life conditions of the youth while bringing access to electricity in the rural areas of the country.
Thanks to J.P. Morgan, since August 2015, Malaysian students have been nurtured and challenged to achieve their full potential.
Ministry of Communications - PI1M
The Pusat Internet 1 Malaysia (PI1M) or 1 Malaysia Internet Centres are connectivity hubs set up by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). MCMC is working together with SOLS 24/7 Malaysia to implement the BI1M programme through it’s PI1M centres in Padang Terap and Kuah, Langkawi! Thanks to them, the students at these areas will get quality, innovative English communicative training for free!
Allianz Malaysia was recently announced as one of the five winners of the Allianz SE Social Innovation Fund 2017, receiving a €50,000 (estimated RM249,000) grant to support the education of Malaysian underprivileged and indigenous youth.
With the grant, Allianz Malaysia will be funding an 18-month education programme – the SOLS Academy of Innovation (SOLS Ai).
As part of the programme, students will attend full-day classes at the Academy and learn subjects including English, Mathematics, Information Technology, Coding, Solar Energy, Project Management as well as Personal Development. SOLS 24/7 will recruit students from various areas, particularly rural villages in Gua Musang, Gerik, and Negeri Sembilan.
Berjaya Cares Foundation
Sharing the same belief that every individual should be given an opportunity to develop their self-potential, Berjaya partnered with SOLS 24/7 in providing opportunities to the less fortunate to learn life skills that will prepare them for the working world and improve their quality of life. Berjaya Cares Foundation together with Better Malaysia Foundation have supported community education centres at 70 locations all over Malaysia and at the peak of the project we had 48 active community education centres benefitting more than 20,000 students. These centres provide free education with an emphasis on English language, recognising that English is an important medium in communications and the business world. By supporting this effort, we hope to make an impact and realise a better future for the nation.

Civil Service Delivery Unit
Civil Service Delivery Unit is also a close working partner with SOLS 24/7 Malaysia, namely SOLS Smart. It is a unit under the Prime Minister of Malaysia’s department to oversee the implementation, assess the progress, facilitate, support and drive the progress of the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
In partnership with Civil Service Delivery Unit, SOLS Smart is delivering our English teaching methodology and distributing the services of our in-house English teaching app to public school students!

With the blessing of the Malaysian Ministry of Education, we have been given access to public schools in which to exercise our innovative, high-impact education programmes. Thanks to this level of accessibility, we have been able to experiment with our programmes, especially our English teaching methodology, in a public school system, with much more collaboration to look forward to in the future!

The Registry of Societies of Malaysia is a department under the Ministry of Home Affairs handling non-governmental organizations and political parties.
SOLS 24/7 Malaysia works closely with ROS to ensure the NGOs and Societies registered with ngohub.asia are verified, trustworthy and adhere to the regulations of the ROS.
The Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad (Hap Seng Group) is committed to community involvement and environmental initiatives as it’s corporate social responsibility. Hap Seng is a partner of SOLS 24/7 in running our Community Centre in Tawau, Sabah.
The Mah Sing Group Berhad commits itself to various corporate social responsibilities, not limited to medical, financial and educational assistance to underserved communities. Mah Sing partners with SOLS 24/7 in running our Community Centre in Masjid Jamek, Kuala Lumpur, helping homeless individuals find their feet and achieve a better life.
Magicbird Publishing started as a modest independent non-profit in 2012 whose aim is to bring quality books to hard – to – reach places in Malaysia and the ASEAN region. The first phase was to have a one – for – one project, where for every book published another is donated away. The second was to guide children to read for pleasure, wonderment and discovery. SOLS-BMF and Magicbird Publishing are working on a powerful partnership to build Magicbird libraries or reading rooms for children all across Malaysia. At the same time, Wisdom Clubs will be set up as platforms using books as tools for discussion. Each Community Centre will be equipped with a reading space and Wisdom Club sessions. Furthermore, once the Magicbird Publishing digital app is developed, it is Magicbird Publishing’s vision to have an app per library to Endeavour, together with SOLS-BMF mission of IT literacy, to reduce the education gaps through bridging the digital divide.
