Imthiaz is a global citizen, an avid traveler, and a multilingual. With more than 12 years of teaching experience, Imthiaz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with First Class Honours (UK), a Diploma in Business Management (SA), and a Financial Services Board Qualification (SA). Throughout the years, Imthiaz has served as a Primary School Teacher at Welbedacht Primary School (South Africa), an English Instructor at Bond University (South Africa), a Private Tutor in Goa, India, an ESL Teacher at Fatih University in Istanbul, Turkey, a part-time ESL Coach at Salamanca Language Center in Cairo, Egypt and an online teacher at 51 Talk in Davao, Philippines. He has also volunteered as a mentor in Port Louis, Mauritius.

In 2019, he joined SOLS 24/7 as the Berjaya Tioman Community Center Manager on Tioman Island. He ran successful community events on the island and blogged frequently about his experiences within the community. Having had a significant impact on student recruitment and retention rate, he was later on promoted to an Educational Manager role and he now holds the position of Project Manager for the Solar Academy team. Imthiaz’s work directly involves coaching and supervising the Orang Asli teachers and delivering online Personal Development classes. He is also an Achieve Programme Assessor for Prince's Trust International (UK). Currently, he is working on curriculum development for the SOLS TVET programme for the Bottom 40%. He hopes to impart a wealth of knowledge to people from all walks of life through his passion for teaching.
